Okta MFA Setup and Login - SMS/Text Message Method
Setting Up MFA
This article will explain to setup MFA using the SMS/Text Messaging method. You only need to setup a single MFA method.
Step 1.
Log into your account and click the 'Setup' button for 'SMS Authentication'.
Step 2.
Enter your phone number and click 'Send Code'.
Step 3.
You will receive a text message with a 6-digit verification code. Enter your code and click 'Verify'.
Step 4.
You are now enrolled in SMS (text message) MFA. Click 'Finish'.
Logging Into Okta with MFA
Step 1.
Enter your username and password and sign in.
Step 2.
Click the 'Send Code' button. You will receive an SMS (Text Message) with a 6-digit code.
Step 3.
Enter the 6-digit code and click 'Verify'.
You will then be signed into Okta.
