Verizon - Ordering A New Phone
1. Open your Verizon app on your account.
2. Scroll down the main page to Service and select View all lines.
3. Select the Suspended tab to view available phones to reactivate. (Choose a line with the username OPEN, PHONE or PHONE, OPEN using the + symbol on the left of the line)
4. In the selected line, Choose the Status to Resume and Submit on the next page.
5. Under the User Information, choose Edit next to Name.

In ALL CAPS, fill in:
a. First Name
b. Last Name
c. Email (Your email address)
d. Cost Center: This will be the office the employee is hired in.
e. User ID: The following are the available ID’s to use:
i. ADMIN-CORP (includes Marketing group)
ii. ADMINISTRATIVE
iii. EMERGENCY
iv. ENVIRONMENTAL
v. HEALTHCARE
vi. RESTORATION
vii. STRUCTURE (AKA CONSTRUCTION)
f. Contact phone 1
g. User address info: Address 1, City, State, Zip code, (save this location so you don’t have to retype it in later)
h. Select Submit

6. Next, select Edit next to Wireless Number and type in either the Zip code or the State and City for proper area code number to be provided and select Submit.
7. Select the red box Upgrade Device for ordering a new phone. You can also skip this step and move on to step 8 if you already have a phone for the new hire.
a. For Upgrade options, select the Buddy Upgrade and Continue

b. Choose an Eligible Number (select only phone number devices. Not MiFi, or Tablets)
c. This brings us to the phone ordering process. Here you will need to choose the proper phone and cover for the new hire. The following is a list to help provide the required phone:

d. Filter your view under Brand to Samsung or Kyocera, depending on what is to be ordered and select the appropriate phone and continue.
NOTE: The phone being ordered will depend on what has been approved to proceed with. Please follow up with your IT team on what is being ordered today along with what Protection Plan is being used.
e. Next, select your Equipment Protection plan and continue.
f. Next section is the accessory page. Change filter Category to Case & Protection and select the Filter button.
g. Choose your cover. (Any clips needed, Defender Series Case with the clip in the photo or Otterbox is appropriate) When the box for the selected item is chosen, select Continue.

h. You will be brought to a review page. No action to take here. Select Continue.
i. Next, your cart page. Select to change the Shipping Method to the quickest FREE shipping. Most cases you can select Free overnight Shipping and Continue. Then select Continue to Checkout.

j. Next, Choose the Shipping Address to ship to. You can create a list of addresses to use each time you order by selecting Add New Address. Select the correct office to ship to and you can use the Edit page to make and needed changes.
Here you can type in the Office Manager in the Attention field and the Contact phone. Next, Select Review Order.

k. Review your order and make any needed changes at this point. Add any additional emails in the Order & Ship Confirmation section at the bottom of the page. If satisfied, select Submit Order. An email will be sent to the requestor and any additional email addresses you’ve added.
8.When the new phone arrives or if you are using a used phone, select Activate next to Device ID.

9. You will need the Device ID (IMEI number) as well as the Sim card ID (ICCID number) found on the box of the new phone or in Settings>About Phone>Status>IMEI Information.

a. Enter the New Device ID and select continue, if eligible, it will proceed.
b. Next Enter the SIM card ID and if eligible, it will proceed. (If you ordered the phone it may be pending, which means the information has been entered in this field already and you will need to click continue to complete.)
10. This will complete the phone ordered process. Next, go to the Cell Phone Requests page to find and delete the phone request response to ensure no one orders a duplicate phone by mistake.
Lastly, you will want to update the Active Directory account with the mobile number from step 6 as well as update Mitel Directory which we will explain in the next step.
