Assured PackOut - Configure Your Scanner
In Assured PackOut, it is possible to use a scanner to complete an inventory listing as well as manage your inventory using the Scan Book Report. It is possible to use most any scanner with Assured PackOut as long as the scanner has been configured correctly. To configure your scanner to read the Assured PackOut barcodes, please locate instructions for your scanner from the options below.
Below we have listed our tested scanners, and then some instructions on configuring scanners outside our tested selection. If you do not see your brand of scanner listed below, it may not be compatible with the Assured PackOut Program.
Tested Scanners
Symbol® LS2208-7AZU0100S
Scanner (or -1AZU0100S)

- Print out the ‘USB Symbol® Barcode Reader Configuration scan sheet included below.
- Plug your new scanner into the laptop where Assured PackOut is installed.
- Scan the barcodes in order as they appear on the scan sheet.
Wasp® WWS800 Wireless
Bluetooth® Scanner
First review the manual delivered with the scanner for general operation. If you have questions about the Wasp® scanner, you can contact the Wasp® support centre via www.waspbarcode.com.
- Print the ‘Wasp® Barcode Reader Configuration scan sheet included below.
- Plug in your scanner as instructed by the Wasp® documentation.
- Scan the barcodes in order as they appear on the scan sheet.
NOTE: Common errors during configuration of the wireless scanner include: Not plugging in the scanner properly, or not giving adequate time to charge the Wasp® Scanner before use (charge for at least 20 minutes).

The following scanner references have not yet been tested, however, are available scanners that can be configured to work with the Assured PackOut.
Motorola has a large selection of scanners that can be configured to work with Assured PackOut, they also have a free utility called 123SCAN2 available for download. This utility can be used to generate the necessary configuration codes to get your scanner up and running.
